Pair of large carved and gilded wood and stucco mirrors circa 1884 for the Château de Priban
An exceptional and large pair of museum-quality mirrors in carved wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf.
These beautiful mirrors were commissioned around 1884 by Mr. Théodore Bellemer, a merchant, for his Château de Priban, purchased in 1879 and located at the entrance to the commune of Macau, south of the town on the Ludon-Macau road.
Sizes: H 38.58 In. - W 30.70 In.
In superb condition, we have had the gilding cleaned, with a very slight difference in gold tint. Mirrors changed.
