A pair of finely chiseled patinated and gilt bronze covered vases Empire period circa 1810
A rare and highly decorative pair of covered vases, exquisitely chiseled and gilded with mercury, decorated with palmettes and fish scales, the sides flanked by two handles evoking stylized dolphins, the upper part topped by a pine cone. Both vases stand on truncated-column bases in chiseled bronze with an chiseled guilloché decoration in a brown patina.
Fine French work from the Empire period circa 1805-1815.
