Pair of large walnut armchairs, molded and carved, French Regence period circa 1720
An important pair of large armchairs with high flat backs and wide seats in walnut. They have beautiful sinuous arms with acanthus leaves carved and rest on four curved legs also carved with acanthus leaves. The quality of our armchairs and the general movement make us think of a Parisian work of the French Régence period.
Rare and handsome French work probably Parisian of the Regence period circa 1720.

Our chairs are in good original condition, they have been completely dismantled, and small restorations are to report in the feet. The upholstery of old-style straps and horsehair stuffing has just been done. This pair of armchairs is covered with beautiful silk Lampas celadon.
