Merio Ameglio or Mario (1897-1970)

Born on October 4, 1897, in San Remo (Italy). Died July 29, 1970, in Paris. Italian painter of the XXth century, he is active in France.

Landscape painting, urban landscapes, harbour landscapes.

He is a self-made painter, of the French Mediterranean coast where he was raised. Later, he painted in many regions of France: the Marseille region, the Loing valley, the Seine valley, Chartres, and especially views of Paris and Montmartre, where he lived from 1938 until his death.
