Louis-François Mayeux - French Louis XV period Pair of carved and lacquered beechwood Bergères circa 1760

A pair of large Bergères in molded beech wood lacquered in cream with gilded highlights and carved with foliage and flowers, the back with cabriolet shoulders, the armrests with cuffs ending in scrolls resting on curved legs.

French work of the Louis XV period, circa 1760, the back belts stamped L.Mayeux for Louis-François Mayeux.

Our seats are in good condition, they have just been upholstered with a beautiful fabric decorated with flowers.

Louis-François Mayeux:

Carpenter and cabinetmaker. Master on July 29, 1757. 

Pupil then collaborator of Nicolas Quinibert Foliot, he left Louis XV seats of very good workmanship.
