A large openwork pediment mirror in carved and gilded wood with musical attributes from the Louis XVI period

 

An interesting and decorative rectangular trumeau mirror in carved wood and gilded with gold leaf, decorated with pearls, ribbons, and carved wood trimmings. The mirror is topped by an openwork pediment decorated with musical instruments and oak leaves.

Elegant French work from the Louis XVI period, circa 1775-1785.

 

Sizes: H 59.05 Inches. W 32.67 Inches.

 

In fine original condition, with minor repairs to the gilding. We exhibit this mirror in its original gold leaf gilding, with a patina of age.
