Fireplace screen with frame in moulded and carved walnut Louis XV period circa 1740-1750
A decorative fire screen or screen for a fireplace, the hand-carved inlaid frame features a heart in a shell and laurel branches, the jambs with leafy clasps, and the feet strongly moulded with scrolls.
The stretcher frame is adorned with damask silk with a bluish decoration, ornamented with various leafy branches from the house of Lelièvre.
Beautiful French work early Louis XV Perioid circa 1740-1750.
