Napoleon III period carved and gilded wood confidant decorated with confronting griffins circa 1850
Very elegant and decorative carved and gilded wood confidant with gold leaf, the seat in two parts covered with a beautiful floral motif fabric, separated by a central carved and gilded wood backrest with a highly-effective confronting griffin motif. The whole rests on four tapered fluted legs terminating in castors.
Fine Napoleon III period work circa 1850-1870.
