French Louis XIV Period Commode in walnut and burr walnut inlaid with scroll foliages circa 1700
A magnificent and elegant commode opening by three drawers, in walnut and walnut burl on a resinous frame. Our chest of drawers has a decorative walnut burl front inlaid with scroll foliages. The wooden top with Corbin's beak, in burr walnut inlaid with butterfly wings, inlaid with scrolls in a frame of thread. The sides are decorated in the same spirit as the top. The rounded uprights are inlaid with large fillets simulating flutes. Decorated with chased and gilded bronze, partly from the period.
High quality of execution in this work of the early 18th century in the manner of the Grenoble productions circa 1700.
Measurements: Height 32.48 inches (82,5 cm) - Width 45.66 inches (116 cm) - Depth 24.21 inches (61,5 cm).
Our commode is in excellent condition, it has been restored in our workshops.
