French Dauphiné commode in Olivier Palissandre Walnut and Plum veneers Louis XIV period circa 1700
An elegant Louis XIV period chest of drawers opening with three drawers, in walnut, burl walnut, olive, and rosewood veneers mounted on a softwood frame.
The top, front, and sides are decorated with inlaid geometric filleting. The rounded uprights are inlaid with large fillets simulating fluting. The chest of drawers is adorned with chiseled and gilded bronzes, some of which are period, such as pull handles, lock escutcheons, and a woman's head on the sides.
Fine craftsmanship in this late French Louis XIV Dauphiné work circa 1700.

Our commode is in excellent condition, it has been restored in our workshops.
