Biography:
RIZZI Paolo (XXth Century).
Paolo RIZZI is a contemporary Italian painter from the Venice area.
Paolo Rizzi was a great traveler: he visited Venice no less than 20 times during his long life. A great traveler, he toured the Mediterranean, Algeria and Italy, as well as England and Holland.
His Italian works, for which he became famous at a very early age, were established and developed thanks to his views of Venice, to which he still owes his renown today. His Venetian panoramas depict some of Venice's mythical landmarks - the Grand Canal, the Rialto Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square - barely escaping stereotype. He paints these monuments in colorful, airy, lively compositions that delight lovers of Venice... and others. The ships with their flags, the festive days and the gondolas all appeal to enthusiasts. He uses warm colors, with small touches of bright red, yellow and white here and there to enhance the amber and ochre of the stone buildings and the earth, and the light has golden reflections.
