Alphonse Lecoz A Venetian palace oil on canvas circa 1890-1900
A call to travel or nostalgia for a beautiful trip to Venice, that's certainly the feeling inspired by this beautiful painting signed lower right by Alphonse LECOZ circa 1890-1900.
As usual, Alphonse Lecoz has skilfully captured the light and atmosphere created by the typical colors of the lagoon city, and here offers us a lovely view of a Venetian palazzo animated by a Gondolier, with the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute in the background.
The theme of the canals of Venice, a destination for many painters and an absolute source of inspiration.
