Alphonse Carrière (1808-1881) – Décor de boiserie composé de six Natures Mortes aux oiseaux Vers 1850-1860

 

A rare paneled set of six oil-on-canvas paintings mounted on a chassis, depicting still lifes decorated with birds in central cartouches in illusion woodwork surrounds and garlands of flowers and fruit.

 

This magnificent work was signed by Alphonse Carrière circa 1850-1860.

Alphonse Carrière (1808-1881): Very active French painter in the mid-19th century.

He painted beautiful genre scenes, magnifying his art with precise detail and a beautiful palette of colors.

His works are rare in the art market.
