French Louis XV style gilt bronze chandelier with cut crystal decoration circa 1830-1850

A beautiful chandelier of cage form of French Louis XV style, in formerly gilt bronze (always in its mercury gilding of period), featuring a superb decoration of white and smoked cut crystal, composed of large plates, numerous stars and rosettes, three daggers in the periphery and splendid threading in smoked cut crystal. Our chandelier ends with a beautiful and large ball in cut crystal.

This chandelier illuminates by nine arm-lights in the periphery.

Elegant French chandelier of Louis XV style manufactured in the first part of the 19th century circa 1830-1850 at the Restoration of the French Old Regime.

Measurements: H 47.24 In – Diameter 27.55 In.

In fine original condition, the chandelier has been cleaned and preserves part of its original gilding. Electrification to European standards and American standards on request.

Provenance French private collection following an inheritance.
