Hexagonal travel chandelier in lacquered bronze, gilt bronze, and crystal decoration circa 1820-1830
A charming and delightful small chandelier in the French Empire style, called a travel chandelier, of hexagonal form in cream lacquered bronze with painted motifs of an Urn, a Swan, a Doe, and a Goose.
The chandelier is embellished with a white and amethyst colored crystal decoration, composed of fine almonds, stylized flowers, and decorative elements in crystal, including a small faceted ball.
Our chandelier illuminates by six arm-light in gilt bronze, finely chiseled with animal heads and palmettes.
French Directoire style was manufactured in the first third of the 19th century circa 1820-1830.
