French Dauphiné Louis XV Period, Curved Slant-Desk in Precious Wood Veneer
An elegant and decorative all-sided curved slant-desk in burr walnut veneer, burr ash, tobacco wood, ebony, and blackened wood.
Our desk opens in its upper part by a flap covered with an old red leather with gold roulette decoration, which reveals an interior formed by six small drawers, a shelf, and a secret compartment. The lower part opens by three drawers in two rows. The furniture rests on four serpentine legs. Period ormolu ornamentation.
Beautiful French work certainly of the Dauphiné to bring closer to the work of the famous cabinetmaker Hache in Grenoble, Louis XV period circa 1740-1750.
