Louis XVI style chandelier in wood and gilt bronze with cut crystal decoration circa 1880
An elegant and beautiful chandelier in hand-carved wood in its period gilding and finely chiseled bronze in its original gilding (minor wear), illuminated by six peripheral arms of light and three small interior lights.
Our chandelier has a magnificent white cut-crystal décor featuring numerous half-pears, almonds, flowers, rosettes and a superb descent of pearls chased in gilded bronze.
It ends with a superb ball in cut crystal.
Gorgeous chandelier in the Louis XVI style, French work circa 1880, from a château in the Rouen area. This chandelier had been stored for at least 80 years in a crate in the castle's attic.
