Pair of Regence style three-light parakeet sconces in chiseled and gilt bronze 19th century

 

We are presenting a pair of very finely chiseled and gilded bronze "parakeet" sconces, with a central shaft featuring a parrot or parakeet with outstretched wings and three arms of light.

 

A fine French work that is inspired by the great bronze masters of the 18th century. Based on a model by Charles Cressent (1685-1768), but French Napoleon III period, circa 1850-1870.

 

Sizes: H 22.44 In - W 13.38 In - D 6.29 In.

 

Our pair of sconces are in excellent original condition, with beautiful gilding.
