Pedestal table or Bouillotte table in marquetry of cubes, Directoire style work from the late 18th or early 19th century

An elegant pedestal table or table Bouillotte in the line of the most important Parisian cabinetmakers of the Louis XVI-Directoire period. The upper part is made of a circular tray inlaid with cubes (Amaranth, Rosewood, green tinted Boxwood), the belt, inlaid with cubes, opens with two drawers and offers two shelves decorated with fawn-colored leathers. It rests on pretty sheathed feet finished with old gilded bronze sabots.

Beautiful French work, certainly Parisian, in the Directoire style, manufactured in the late 18th century or early 19th century at the restoration of the Old Regime.
