A Louis XVI period giltwood mirror with openwork pediment, circa 1780

 

An elegant and decorative carved and gilded wood and stucco mirror, with an openwork pediment in a carved and gilded wood frame. 

The openwork pediment is decorated with a medallion in the mirror, Pampers, and a knotted ribbon. The frame is framed with rods, spandrels with flowers, and crosses. 

 

We had such a lovely day today! And a spectacular evening! A very fitting end to a truly wonderful vacation. Paris is all the more special with people like you in our lives. ❤️

In fine original condition small wear to the gilding, which make the charm of these old objects.
